Abe has also recorded and performed with the likes of Steve Vai, Seal, Jonatha Brooke, Crystal Lewis, Shakira, B.B. King, Steven Curtis Chapman, Eric Clapton, Johnny Hallyday, Jenifer, Steve Winwood, Les Paul, Ashlee Simpson, LeAnn Rimes, Mylène Farmer, Letters to Cleo, Vanessa Carlton, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Tyler Bryant, and Steve Lukather.

    Abe, son of legendary jazz bassist Abraham Laboriel, Sr., began playing the drums at the age of four.

    He got his big break playing drums and touring with guitarist Steve Vai. Laboriel later toured with Seal, and in doing so, was seen by numerous record producers around LA, which got him into the studio scene and doing a lot of session work. While touring for a short time with K.D. Lang, Sting saw him play — leading Laboriel to join Sting's touring band. His touring with Lang also led to him connecting, and later playing, with Paul McCartney... including McCartney's appearance during the halftime of Super Bowl XXXIX. Hijo del bajista mexicano Abraham Laboriel (n. 1947) y hermano del productor musical, compositor y cineasta Mateo Laboriel, Abe Laboriel Jr. es más conocido por su trabajo como baterista del músico británico Paul McCartney (n. 1942) y de la cantante francesa Mylene Farmer (n. 1961), entre otros.
